Officials & Volunteers

It's no secret that Mildura Storm is the coolest BMX club around - We are continually increasing in riders!
But what makes us awesome is our fantastic members that volunteer their time to make each race meeting happen.
Race day doesn't just happen on Sunday morning - it begins earlier in the week.
We are proud of our race complex  - the lawn and gardens need constant care.
Practice sessions need volunteers and officials to operate sign in, start gate and timing.

On race day we need all hands on deck.

We need officials and volunteers to make it happen.
The track needs to be swept and rolled each week and lines need to be marked on the outside of the track.
The starting gate needs to be set up, (and disassembled at the end of the meeting) and we need a staging officer to make sure our riders start each of their races on their spot on the starting gate.

You can't go racing without officials and volunteers in the scoring hut to accept rider registrations, and score the event.
Officials are required at each turn of the track along with First Aid to ensure the safety of our riders.
Our riders and supporters need people to operate the canteen to provide refreshments.

If you reckon you can lend us a hand and make Mildura Storm even cooler - WE WANT YOU!

Chat to one of our awesome club members at a practice or race meeting and find out how you can help out.

To volunteer your time to the club a Working with Children Check will need to be sucessfully completed.
You will also need hold a valid BMA or AusCycling Non-Riding Licence.
We value our volunteers and if you wish, our club will reimburse you for the $10 fee of your Auscycling Non-Riding licence.

Officials are required to have completed official training which you can find at AusCycling BMX Officials Course
